Pat Lauderdale

Pat Lauderdale, 54, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born in Booneville on November 8, 1964, to Leonard Nip Lauderdale and Alma B. Lancaster Lauderdale. He was an avid Mississippi State fan and enjoyed going to games or watching them on TV. He loved all sports with the Steelers, Lakers, and Dodgers being some of his favorite teams. He enjoyed playing dominoes. His children, nieces, and nephews were his pride and joy. He truly loved his family. Pat never met a stranger and loved everyone. Anyone he came into contact with, he would give them a handshake and a big smile. His main job was farming which he loved. He served as a director at Farm Bureau and was a board member of the Farm Service Agency. Services will be Sunday, May 26, 2019, at 2:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in Gaston Baptist Church Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Saturday night from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Also, visitation will be from 12:00 until service time on Sunday. He is survived by his son, Cole Lauderdale of Rienzi; a daughter, Addisyn Lauderdale of Booneville; a brother, Max Lauderdale (Pam); a sister, Marie Rhodes (Larry) all of Rienzi; nieces and nephews, Chad Lauderdale, Misty Rowsey (Daniel), Ashley Murphy (Kyle), and Alicia Shields; great-nieces and nephews, Davis Lauderdale, Dylan Rowsey, Drew Rowsey, Mia Claire Rowsey, Ali Beth Shields, Ann Elise Shields, and Max Thomas Shields. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nip and Alma Lauderdale; and his grandparents, Matthew and Leah Lancaster and W. F. “Bud” and Robert Ann Lauderdale. Pallbearers will be Sam McCoy, Cal Worley, Josh Walden, Luke Walden, Briar Windham, and Chris Weatherbee. Honorary pallbearers will be Monk Smith, Michael “Snuffy” Smith, Bob Maddox, Daniel Rowsey, Kyle Murphy, Chad Lauderdale, Durand Windham, Perry Walden, Felix Shumpert, and Jerry Smart. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gaston Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Condolences may be extended to the family at boonevillefuneralhome.net.
