Virginia Inez Cole

Virginia Inez Cole, 99, passed away, while sleeping peacefully in her home, on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. She was born December 15, 1924, to Clifford Phillips and Nellie Tolbert Phillips Nichols. She loved her church and reading her Bible. She was a history and Bible buff. Inez liked reading, working crossword puzzles and enjoyed being a gardner. She is survived by her sons, Phillip Cole, John Cole (Connie) and Tony Cole; daughters, Jane Cole Ross (Fred) and Lorrane Cole Smithey; sister, Diane Cox (Rudy); grandsons, Kenny Robinson, Eric Cole, Trent Jacobs (Marie), Dustin Cole (Amanda), Jordan Gann; granddaughters, Cheryl Morgan (Steve), Amy Cole-Williams (Tim), Chasity Wildmon (Chris), Molly Cole Michael (Jason), Kary Prince (Donnie), Cassandra Medley, Macie Delaney (Craig), Lauren Sparks, and Logan Walker (Brandon); many great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Warren G. Cole; daughter, Romma Gaye Cole; brother, Max Phillips; sisters, Kathleen Crow, Geraldine Vick, Emogene Carpenter, Margie Cox and Sue Phillips; great-grandson, Brent Jacobs; great-granddaughter, Dottie Michelle Cole; son-in-law, Tim Smithey; and daughter-in-law, Shirley Cole. Funeral services will be Friday, February 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Booneville Funeral Home. Visitation will begin two hours prior to service, beginning at 12 o’clock noon. Bro. Tony Brown and Bro. Craig Chandler will be officiating. Burial will be in Hare Memorial Gardens. Booneville Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Terry Gene Cole, Travis Childers, Dave Crowe, John David Cox, Johnny Duncan, Henry Green, Steve Morgan and Donnie Prince. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons. A special thanks extended to caregivers, Courtney McKinney Robinson and Jean Kennedy. And many thanks given to her close friends, Alice Green, Joyce Duncan and Helen Harris.
