Alma Jane McCoy

Alma Jane McCoy, 84, passed away at her home in Booneville on Tuesday, July 12, 2016. She was born on September 14, 1931, in Tishomingo to Loyd and Harriet Bugg Holland. She was a member of Booneville Church of Christ where she loved attending worship and the Tuesday Morning Bible Class. She enjoyed working in her yard, making homemade bread for everyone and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandbabies. Alma also liked crocheting, quilting and knitting. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 14, 2016, at 1:00 P.M. at the Booneville Church of Christ with Ministers Greg Pollock, Jim Estes and Doug Greenway officiating. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. at the Booneville Funeral Home. The body will lie in repose at the Booneville Church of Christ from noon until service time on Thursday. She is survived by her son, Tim McCoy (Deborah) of Booneville; two daughters, Conita Fader (Paul) of Luray, Tenn. and Dee Whirley of Booneville; her brother, Rudolph Holland; her sister, Martha Grimes; grandchildren, Shelley Bray (Michael), Shawn McCoy, Luke Fader (Sarah), Cayla Fader, Ashley Hodgin (Josh) and Anna Beth Whirley; great-grandchildren, Ansley Bray, Jackson Bray, Feylin Hodgin, and Gunnar Hodgin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Selby McCoy, on March 16, 1990; her parents; her sisters, Sis Hicks and Erma Matherly; and a brother, Bud Holland. Pallbearers will be Jason Coley, Chris Beard, Eddie Allen, Bob Maddox, Lowell Wayne Roper and Randy Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Buster Green Eddie Mauney, Billy Deaton, Tommy Baragona, Jim Wilson and Larry Morgan.
