Emily Frances Swiney

August 16, 1930 - January 5, 2022

Emily Frances Faulkner Adams Swiney, 91, went to be with the Lord and her loved ones that have gone on before her on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. She was born in Prentiss County on August 16, 1930, to Curniss Faulkner and Mary Melinda Neeley Faulkner. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, traveling, and crocheting baby blankets for new moms. She was a charter member of the Vineyard Church and served as a Sunday school teacher for 25 years. She attended Booneville High School and at age 14 got married. At age 18 she went to work at Blue Bell. She also worked at Prentiss Manufacturing, Brown Shoe, and North Miss. Manufacturing. She then went to Kelwood and worked for 28 years. She loved working, sewing, and crocheting. After 51 years of working she had to quit due to her health. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Booneville Funeral Home with Bro. William Copeland and Bro. Anthony Copeland officiating. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Visiting time with family will also be on Sunday from noon until 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She is survived by her daughter, Frances Darlene Gumm and special friend, Danny Jones, of Booneville; granddaughters, Angela Adams-Kastner and husband, Steve, of Eads, TN, and Clarissia Adale Gumm of Booneville; grandson, Anthony Dale Smith and his wife, Tiffany, of Independence, MS; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 48 years, James Henry Adams; second husband of 17 years, Albert “RB” Swiney; a son, William Roger Adams; sister, Burblee Copeland; and two brothers, Robert Lee Faulkner and Curniss Faulkner, Jr. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
