James A. Boothe, 83, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. He was born on August 30, 1938 to Alfred Boothe and Nola Thimbes Boothe. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Boothe owned and operated Boothe’s Small Engine Repair Shop. He enjoyed working search and find puzzles, feeding raccoons and spending time with his cat, Tootie. Boothe’s favorite of all was spending time with his great-grandson, Wyatt Morris. You could often find Boothe drinking coffee with his buddies at the Chevron on Second Street. A memorial service will be held at the Front Porch Restaurant on Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Booneville Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his wife, June; great-grandson, Wyatt; son, Clovis C. Geno of Montana; daughters, Cynthia Mardis (Marty Grisham) and Cathy Hopkins all of Booneville, MS; grandchildren, Billie Morris (Mike Lee), James Morris and Coley Hopkins (Tiffany) all of Booneville, Cecelia Geno and Laken Thomas both of Wheeler, MS, Eden Jaimes of Rienzi, MS, and Eddie Morris (Candace) of Vidalia, GA; 10 great-grandchildren.
