Thomas Dewey “Tommy” Garner, 66, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born to Leland and Sulu Garner on January 25, 1949, in Booneville, Mississippi. He was a lifetime member of Gaston Baptist Church. Tommy was a farmer and he was retired from Catipillar in Corinth, Mississippi. He enjoyed gardening and he loved his dogs. Services are Sunday, June 7, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. in the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Matt Brown and Bro. Ben Parman officiating. Burial will be in Gaston Church Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Phyllis Browning Garner; daughters, Lacey Williams of Booneville, and Gina Garner of Memphis, Tennessee; and one grandson, Logan Williams of Booneville; sisters-in-law, Frances Browning and Josie Keeton (Jerry); one nephew, Joe Keeton all of the Booneville area ; and a host of cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Sulu Hughes Garner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Perigo, Jacky Perigo, Joe Keeton, Rocky Perigo, Greg Hughes and Michael Gardner.
