Thomas Oscar (Tom) Hathcock, 64, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at his home in Booneville, MS. He was born on September 5, 1957, to John Rufus Hathcock and Minnie Kelyon Lambert Hathcock. He loved fishing, going to dirt track races and spending time with his kids and grandkids. Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Booneville Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, April 15, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Bro. Mike Sanders will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Church of God Cemetery in the Altitude Community. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his sons, Ronnie Hathcock (Amanda) of Tupelo, MS, and Johnny Hathcock of Pontotoc, MS; six daughters, Lynn Painter (Brian) of Walnut, MS, Dana Mason (Josh) of Wheeler, MS, Katie Bailey Embry (Kenneth) of Dennis, MS, Kylie Hathcock, Carly Bailey and Kayla Hathcock all of Booneville, MS; sister, Brenda Weatherly (Bruce) of Pontotoc, MS; grandchildren and a host of extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Mark Lambert, Roger Sanders, Jr., Scott Truelove, Jimmy Lambert, Eric Lambert and Daniel Wilemoth. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wade Truelove, Ricky Sanders, Sr., Josh Sanders and Andrew Sanders.
