Wilford Knight Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Wilford W. Knight, 73, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born April 27, 1942, to Bonnie and Vera McVey Knight in Tippah County. He served as a pastor for 22 years, and was a member of Glory Hill Church in the Dry Creek community, where he pastored for 15 years. He loved his work for God. He also enjoyed singing and playing his guitar with his wife, Mary Ann. Together they once operated a TV station in Missouri. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Scott officiating and Bro. Greg Smart assisting. Burial will be in Jumpertown Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Knight, whom he married October 20, 1990; one son, Greg Knight (Jo Carol) of Jumpertown; one daughter, Amy Green (Chris) of Jumpertown; two step-sons, Michael Hayden (Pat) of Falkner, and Mitchel Hayden of Snowdown; two step-daughters, karen Michael (Danny) of Rienzi, and Donna Davis (Drexal) of Snowdown; two brothers, Howard Knight, (Mary Bell) of Ripley, Richard Knight (Peggy) of Dry Creek; one sister, Clara Dean Yarbour of Jumpertown; five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Todd Knight; a step-grandson, Tony Hayden, two granddaughters, Madison Knight and Deatra Dianne Green; his parents; three brothers, J. B. Knight, James Lester Knight, Billy Rex Knight; and a sister, Lois Robertson. Pallbearers will be Gregory King, Dustin Knight, Justin Knight, David Falkner, Dewayne Falkner and Bradley Knight.
