Ms. Alma Wardlow Melton Obituary (1916

Alma Wardlow Melton, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Longwood Community Living Center in Booneville. She was born February 19, 1916 in Prentiss County to Frank and Lena Donahue Brown. She had worked as factory worker for Standard Coffee. She was a member of Gaston Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, knitting, and babysitting. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 30, at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Stanley Shook officiating and Tina Wardlow delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Gaston Cemetery. She is survived by three daughters, Martha Brewer, Evelyn Cole, and MaryCarpenter all of Booneville; 29 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and 72 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Wardlow, second husband Jack Melton; two daughters, Joann Simms and Betty Weaver; four sons, George F. Wardlow, Leonard Lee Wardlow, John Wardlow, and Norman Wardlow . Pallbearers are Casey Hendrix, Bobby Cole, Dewayne Wardlow, Ronald capenter, James Boren, Ralph Carpenter. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Carpenter and Tommy Wardlow.
