Courtney Shaylynn Owens Obituary (1992

Courtney Shaylynn “CoCo” Owens, 22, died as a result of a motor vehicle accident Monday, September 28, 2015, in Booneville. She was born October 18, 1992, to John W. and Alisha Dunn Owens in Tupelo, Miss. She was a member of South Marietta Baptist Church. Courtney attended Wheeler High School and then Northeast Mississippi Community College. She was a cook at Pizza Hut in Booneville. She enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, playing basketball and other sports, as well. She was also an avid Alabama fan. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 1, 2015, at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robbie Johnson and Bro. Kenneth Gentry officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 30, from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Burial will be in Blythe Chapel Cemetery. She is survived by her parents; brother, Cody Dunn; sister, Chloe Danielle Owens; grandparents, Martha Johnson of Booneville, Wayne Dunn of Pickwick, Tenn., Shirlene and Roscoe Miller of Cartersville, Ga., and Teddy Johnson of Booneville. She was preceded in death by a grandfather, James W. Owens; grandmother, Margaret Ann Morrow; and great-grandparents, Jess and Louise Chaffin and Hester and Juanita Dunn.
