Danny Richard McKinney

Danny Richard McKinney, age 65, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at his residence in Coldwater, Miss. He was born July 26, 1950, to Earvin and Ovell Blaylock McKinney in Booneville, Miss. He was a member of Bett Baptist Church in Coldwater, where he enjoyed serving and being with his church family. Danny was always happy to host a fish fry or BBQ in his backyard with family and friends. He took great pride in keeping his lawn beautiful. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, and Dale Earnhart, and spending time with family. He also loved Memphis Grizzlies basketball. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 14, 2015, with Bro. Alvin Whitehead officiating. Burial will be in Martin Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. till service time on Monday. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Glenda McKinney; four sons, Ronald McKinney of Munford, TN, Joel McKinney (Nicole) of Red Bay, AL, Tracy McKinney of Okeechobee, FL, and Lee McKinney of Meridian; his mother, Ovell McKinney; sisters, Linda Southern of Booneville, Gennet McKinney of Atoka, TN, and Helen Copeland of Booneville. He was preceded in death by his father, Earvin Andrew McKinney and his first wife, Joyce Ryan. Pallbearers will be Joseph Deboer, Chris Williams, Dale Hamblin, Joshua McKinney, Jon Williams and Hunter Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Aaron McKinney, Drew Copeland, Wade Williams, and Rodney Copeland. Condolences may be made to the family at boonevillefuneralhome.net.
