Edward "Crazy Ed" Stearns

Edward James “Crazy Ed” Stearns, 64, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016. He was born on February 24, 1952, in New York, N.Y., to Ernest John Stearns and Helen Virginia McKinney Stearns. He was a welder, teacher, and race car driver. He loved NASCAR, racing, and working on race cars. He also enjoyed fishing and boating. A reception and celebration of life will be Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at the Baldwyn American Legion in Baldwyn. Booneville Funeral Home is assisting the family. He is survived by his brother, Ernest Ray Stearns (Aleysa) of Darien, Ga.; his fiancee, Diane Franks of Thrasher; nieces, Melissa Morgan of Saltillo, Amber Cates (Gary) of Hinesville, Ga., Sonya Corviss (Mike) of Okolona; and special friend, Brad Franks of Thrasher.
