Jimmy Doyle Nanney Obituary (1941

Jimmy Doyle Nanney, 77, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Mississippi Care Center in Corinth. He was born in Del Mar, Al., on August 5, 1941, to Cleveland Pierce Nanney and Evelyn Raynell Pate Nanney. He worked at Walmart as a people greeter where he truly enjoyed coming into work. He loved to watch football, especially Alabama football. He also enjoyed fishing, and traveling. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at 2:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James C. “Jamie” Nanney officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Mantachie. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his sons, Jimmy “Bo” Nanney of Rienzi, Jason Nanney of Baldwyn, and Jamie Nanney of Marietta; a daughter, Donna Morelock (John) of Rienzi; brothers, Dexter Nanney (Sherry) of Booneville, Jack Nanney of Corinth, and David Nanney (Becky) of Randallstown, Md.; grandchildren, Mark Morelock, Dustin Morelock, both of Rienzi, Lacy Morelock of Oxford, Corie Nanney of Corinth, Emily Olive of Dry Creek, and D. J. Lewis of New Site; and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Glenn “Butch” Nanney. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended to the family at boonevillefuneralhome.net.
