Lenovia Carter Miles Obituary (1936

Lenovia Carter Miles, age 79, died Sunday, November 22, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born May 12, 1936 in Booneville to the late Willard William Carter and Frankie Pearl Tennison Carter. She was a retired seamstress. She loved to sew, crochet, draw, paint, needle craft, and shopping at yard sales. She authored a book about her vision of God in which she died and was resurrected. She loved God, and spoke about Him continually. Lenovia was of the Church of God faith. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tracy Arnold officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Church of God Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. She is survived by two daughters Dorothy Miles Ross (Terry) and Margaret Miles both of Guntown, three sons Curtiss Miles (Myrtle) and Allen Miles (Lisa) both of Booneville, and David Miles (Jenny) of Salisbury, MD, a sister Shirley Ramer of Booneville, a brother Aaron Carter (Carolyn) of Burton, 15 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Miles, her parents, a granddaughter Lenovia Ann Brown, a grandson William Jesse Brown, a great grandson Noah Krech, a sister Jimmie Lynn Hopkins, and an infant brother Harold Carter. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Brian Stewart, Danny Joe Moore, Jeremy Moore, Jesse Miles, Jr., Curtiss Miles, Jr., Kevin Miles, Jabo Miles, and Carter Miles. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 5 p.m. ‘til 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
