Martha Irene Mize

Martha Irene Mize, 81, passed from this walk of life, onto her Heavenly home, on Monday, March 4, 2024, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Martha was born to Earl Franklin Spencer and Ruby Manley Spencer on June 30, 1942. She married the love of her life, Aaron, on January 2, 1960. Martha spent a great amount of time in prayer and studying her Bible. She mastered many crossword puzzles and enjoyed watching her hummingbirds through her front glass. Martha loved watching Andy Griffith and Leave It to Beaver with her husband. She always said “never save the best for last.” Martha encouraged everyone to eat dessert first, as sweets were her favorite. Her greatest pleasure in life was being surrounded by her grandkids and family. She is survived by her husband, Aaron; son, Ricky Mize (Trish) of Beebe, AR; daughters, Vicky Williams (Richard) of Morenci, MI, and Angie Womble (Sam) of Booneville, MS; brother, Timmy Spencer of Booneville; sisters, Edna Gray (Billy) of Baldwyn and Sue Farrar (Kenneth) of Pratts; grandchildren, Joshua Mize, Amanda Cook (Glen), Richard Evans (Jocelyn), Eric Evans, Samantha Parker (Sam), Brett Womble (Kayla) and Tyler Womble; ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Terry Spencer. Visitation will be Thursday, March 7th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Vineyard Church, 200 Hwy 45 South, Booneville, MS, 38829. Funeral services will held at the Vineyard on Friday, March 8th at 2:00 PM. Visitation prior to funeral will begin at 11:00 AM until service time. Bro. Tracy Arnold will be officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Memorial Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Brett Womble, Tyler Womble, Josh Mize, Sam Parker, Marty Crump and Huston Parker. Condolences may be extended to the family at boonevillefuneralhome.net.
