Mr. Stephen Carter

Stephen Glen Carter, 40, died Sunday, August 31, 2014, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was born Aug. 23, 1974, in Tupelo to William Aaron and Carolyn Holland Carter. He was a carpenter and recently opened Carter's Corner Restaurant. He enjoyed playing the guitar, riding motorcycles, drawing and playing with his children.Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, August 28, at Fairview Church of God, with Bro. Hayward Burcham and Bro. Holly Tennison officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments.He is survived by his wife, Tana English Carter; a son, John Carter; a daughter, Samantha Carter; two brothers, Jeff Carter and Tony Carter; and his parents William and Carolyn Carter, all of Burton; aunts and uncles, Earl and Ann Hisaw, Billy and Robin Holland, James and Quay Arnold, Jerry and Lenola Tennison, all of Burton, Winford and Janice Holland of Pickville, Tenn., Shirley Ramer and Lenova Miles, both of Booneville. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard and Frankie Carter, Bill and Ollie Holland; an aunt, Jamie Lynn Hopkins; and an uncle, Bobby R. Holland.Pallbearers are John Kizer, Jason Slack, Craig Wise, Billy Harling, Curtis Winslow and Paul Carpenter. Mr. Carter will lie in repose at the church today from 2 p.m. until service time.
