W.E. "Tucker" Bridges Obituary (1942

W.E. Tucker Bridges, age 74, died Friday, January 15, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was born January 2, 1942, in Prentiss County to the late Johnny Clifton Bridges and Cora Eppie Caver Bridges. He was a retired farmer who loved gardening. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2016, at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. David Paseur and the Bro. Gene Coltharp officiating. Burial will be in the Crossroads Methodist Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. He is survived by his two sons Wilburn E. Bridges, Jr. (Becky) of Bethel Springs, TN and Tony L. Bridges (Melissa) of Baldwyn, three sisters Mattie Ruth Downs (Wade) of Jumpertown, Louise Hughes (Jimmy) of Booneville, and Barbara Shook (Jerry) of Jumpertown, three brothers Ray Bridges and Bobby Lewis Bridges both of Jumpertown, and Johnny Wayne Bridges (Renae) of Baldwyn, eight grandchildren Justin Bridges of Jumpertown, Jordan Bridges of Booneville, Alex Vales and Rebecca Tavoian both of Bolivar, TN, Dennis Holly of Jumpertown, Lisa Pannell and Jesse Odell both of Baldwyn, and Steven Bridges of Booneville, and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Troy C. Bridges. His sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday, January 17, 2016, from 5 p.m. ‘til 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
